Saskatoon John G. Diefenbaker International Airport (YXE) is a public international airport that serves and is located in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. It is the hub for Express Air and Transwest Air. The airport features 2 runways, as well as an expanded passenger terminal designed to handle up to 1.4 million passengers every year. The first phase of this terminal expansion was completed in 2002 at a cost of $18 million. Following expansions and renovations, the airport has since welcomed over a million passengers annually, and was also awarded as North America’s Most Improved Airport by the Airports Council International. It recorded its highest numbers in 2018, receiving approximately 1.5 million passengers.
