Nikolski Air Station IKO Nikolski
Presently owned by The Aleut Corporation, the Nikolski Air Station in Nikolski, Alaska started as a military airport. Built in 1958, the Nikolski Air Station was designed as a support to a bigger military air force base. The nearby Cold Bay Air Force Station then operated it, and it features its own radar station. In 2000, the property was revitalized and all the military equipment was removed. Now, it features a gravel runway 3,512 feet long, which is primarily used by a Grumman Goose G-21A by Pen Air. Travelers can also shuttle to and from the Dutch Harbor and Unalaska through Grant Aviation.
