Serving as the main airport for the West Coast of Tasmania, Strahan Airport with the IATA code SRN is a public-use airport located 2 nautical miles westof Strahan, Tasmania, Australia. Previously known as Strahan Aerodrome, it is owned and maintained by the West Coast Council. Sometime in the 1950s, the need for an airport in the remote tourist town occurred and so SRN Airport was born and since then upgrades and other improvements have been done.

Strahan Airport is situated runningparallel to Ocean Beach and like the rest of West Coast Tasmania,its airspace is controlled from Melbourne Airport in Victoria.There are no regular commercial flights to SRN Airport from other destinations in Tasmania or the mainland but helicopter and fixed-wing flights operate for charter flights. Also occupying the airport is the Automatic Weather Station, an essential weather observation point for western Tasmania. The airport used to serve as an alternative landing location when uncooperative weather struck in Queenstown back in the 1970s. The World Heritage Lake St. Clair is only a two-hour drive away from the airport.
