The initial runway at 1,500 ft was the smallest in Nunavut. It was deactivated in 2010 and presently marked with two “X’s” on both ends. The latest runway which measures 3,935 ft was created to the south including a new terminal airport. That airport at present can serve general air transport to smaller turboprop aircraft.
